BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Our arch decals are super easy to apply, it won't rip or crease. If it sticks together when applying, simply pull it apart and re-stick to the wall and flatten out with your hands.
PREPARE YOUR WALL
Prior to installation, we recommend using sandpaper to sand down any bumps, texture and imperfections on your walls. With a damp cloth, wipe down the entire surface, ensuring the wall is clean, smooth and dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners prior to hanging your arch, as certain kinds of chemicals can cause the adhesive to fail.
Allow any freshly painted walls a minimum of 30 days to dry before installing your arch decal and ensure that the paint you’ve used does not have a Teflon or silicone base, as this will prevent proper adhesion. It is not recommended that you install your arch over any textured surfaces, as this may result in the texture showing through, and inhibit the adhesion of the decal.
If you’re installing your arch decal straight onto plaster, you must ensure that you size your wall using a good quality primer or sealer, as this will help to seal the porous surface.
1. LET’S GET STARTED!
Your design is supplied as a one single panel. Carefully unpack the arch decal and lay it out in flat. Ensure your wall has been properly prepared as per instructions above.
2. INSTALLING THE ARCH DECAL
Carefully peel away the arch decal from the backing paper working 10cm at a time, gently smoothing it onto the wall with a soft, dry cloth. Work your way down slowly, smoothing outwards to remove any bubbles as you go until you reach the bottom.
If you need to re-position the arch, simply peel away from the wall and re-apply, gently smoothing it out as you go. Even if the arch gets stuck together, simply pull it apart then flatten and smooth onto your wall.
